Alam Sharif struck a sensational double as Young Shaheen continued their resurgence with a 3-1 victory over PAF Base team on Tuesday afternoon.
Having gone into the encounter on the back of three straight wins, Young Guns were given a further boost ahead of kick-off by the return of Kamran Sarfaraz who shrugged off Groin Injury / Back Problem to start alongside Minhaj and Zulfiqar in the Midfield.
As usual Young Shaheen started brightly right from the kick off. Chances were provided by the pact midfield of Young Shaheen to their strikers but couldn't capitalize. Clear cut opportunities fell to new captain Naveed Hameed who couldn't mark his captaincy with a goal. After half hour mark Young Shaheen defense were caught by counter attack from PAF Base team and against the run of play PAF Base Team took the lead. Tempo of the game was increased by Young Shaheen and soon they were rewarded. Right on the stroke of half time Zulfiqar shoot was deflected which made it 1-1 as justice was done given to the play of Young Shaheen FC.
YSFC made Three substitution at the half time which provided a fruitful result. Ilyas Khan was substituted and premier striker Alam Sharif was introduced on the pitch. Naveed Hameed was brought in a deeper role to rest Minhaj and also to give opportunity to young blood Jawad Shah. Ijaz Khan RB was also substituted to give a run to Irfan on same position. YSFC started the second half as brightly as they finished the first one. Just after 10 min of 2nd half a through ball from Kamran Sarfaraz found Alam Sharif who then expertly guide the ball into the back of the net. The striker has been in rich tone of form ever since the last district tournament. On 75th min mark defense splitting pass from Kamran Sarfaraz found Jawad Shah who then provided the opportunity to the striker Alam Shareef who's no nonsense finish make it 3-1. Chances were created by both the team in the end but the game ended in favour of Young Shaheen FC 1-3.
