Young Guns Held by Waqar FC

Young Shaheen Football Club played a friendly match today on 24th of July 2010. This was the first official game being played on their home turf after the recent ROW between Young Shaheen Football Club and their arch rivals United FC. Friendly match was just organized yesterday. Few tactical changes were made in the side of YSFC. Kamran Sarfaraz the Midfielder was deployed at the Left Back position whereas Ijaz Khan was given a chance to prove himself in the middle of the park.

The game kicked off under hot circumstance nearly at 05:00 PM local time. It was a nervy start from the home side as well as the visitors but as the game progressed both team settled well and got use too with the condition, as the pitch was also not perfect to play on. Young Guns made several attacks but were denied every time but the heroics of the visiting team Goalkeeper. Chance after chance were created but every time Young Shaheen FC strikers let their team down. Eventually just before half time visiting team Waqar FC made the only attempt on the goal which they were rewarded and finished the half with a lead of 0-1.

In Second half some tactical changes were again made by the Captain of YSFC and Kamran Sarfaraz was call upon from Left back to the Midfield role to retain the stability in the middle of the park. This changed the whole dimension of the game. Naveed Hameed played a through ball to Masood which resulted in a corner for Young Shaheen FC. Veteran Defender Haider Sajjad came forward for the header but played a crucial role in earning the Penalty for his team after his shot was stopped illegally by Waqar FC defender in their own box. Naveed Hameed took the penalty brilliantly by deceiving the Goalkeeper with his stuttering run-up and brought the team level on terms.

The goal boosted the players of Young Shaheen FC and they made chances for themselves again n again. It was a bad day for the strikers (Masood Shah & Alam Shareef) of YSFC as they were provided with clear opportunities but bottled them every time. On 65th minute Defender Ehtisham Sunny after individual brilliance scored the goal of his career when his shot went straight into the back of the net. Goalkeeper stood helpless and could only see the ball passing him into his fortress. YSFC went 2-1 up at that moment.

Soon after the goal captain of YSFC decided to rest some players. Ijaz Khan the left back was substituted with Ikram and Forward Jalal was substituted with Academy player Sarmad. The decision proved to be the wrong one. Soon after substitution were made the tempo of the game for YSFC decreased. This provided an opportunity to the visiting team and after a bizarre mistake by the Goalkeeper of Young Shaheen FC the visiting team equalized and the score were leveled 2-2. Both the teams tried to score the winner but the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Friendly Postponeded after Meeting

Young Shaheen Football Club recently announced a friendly to be played with New National on Sunday the 18th of July 2010 on their home turf Civil Quarters. On the same date and venue Young Shaheen Football Club's rival United FC also decided to held a friendly which could well led both the clubs rivalry to another level of resentment but thanks to a close door meeting by the officials of Young Shaheen Football Club and United FC.

Meeting was arranged by the peace maker of Young Shaheen Football Club. Whose purpose is to play tight and play fair. United Football Club on previous Sunday played a friendly match and were well beaten by the visitors. This created anger in players of United FC and decided to take another friendly with the visitors to take a sweet revenge.

On the other hand it was the turn of Young Shaheen Football Club to play a friendly with New National as it was their turn to have a game on their home turf which was not acceptable to their rivals United FC. So both the teams decided to arrange friendlies for themselves to cancel each other out.

In the end Meeting was called by the Staff / Current Manager Kashif who called upon the Coach / Manger of United FC in a close room meeting, where YSFC Staff put the proposal that tranquility is far better rather then up-roaring. This decision was well appreciated by the Coach / Manger of United FC and he also accepted the proposal.

Both the Clubs decided to postponed their matches.  Young Shaheen Football Club apologized to the supporters who came to watch them.
